Norfolk Coast Path update

11th March 2014

We are pleased to update our users that further sections have been repaired and are now open to walkers.

The 5km Burnham Deepdale to Burnham Overy Staithe bank is now open following intermediate work to provide walking access for the National Trail.

The Environment Agency have also completed floodbank repairs from Morston Downs to Blakeney, therefore the 2.1km between the Morston National Trust car park and Blakeney is now fully open for walkers.

Together with the Environment Agency, National Trust, Natural England and Norfolk County Council, we have started work on an intermediate surface from Blakeney to Cley next the Sea. Weather permitting we hope to have this open for Easter.

In summary, the Norfolk Coast Path is open from Hunstanton to Holme next the Sea. IT is also open from Thornham right through to Blakeney and from Cley next the Sea all the way to Cromer.
