To mark the 10th anniversary of the opening of the Mary Towneley Loop, Chris Thomas of Peers Clough Packhorses decided to organise a sponsored ride to raise money for local charities. This successful event took place in July 2012 and led to Chris writing an article about her time involved with the Mary Towneley Loop.
