If you are riding the South Downs way by horse, this leaflet is an invaluable list of equine vets, farriers and saddlers near the South Downs Way, it is not a comprehensive list of all providers in the South Downs but is very useful for planning or emergency purposes.
Horse Box Parking

Many car parks on or near the South Downs Way are small or have height barriers. This information sheet lists a few which are more suited to accommodating horse boxes, however they can get very busy so please still park considerately.
Car Parking on the SDW

This leaflet explains how to go about leaving your car at either end of the South Downs Way in order to walk or ride the full length. However, the best option is still to travel to your start by public transport.
