Yorkshire Wolds Way reopens on the Humber Foreshore

17th March 2014

Great news to report - After over a year without a through route on the Humber Foreshore it has now fully reopened and can be enjoyed by Yorkshire Wolds Way walkers again.

This length had to close because of a severe structural issue to the Foreshore embankment, which was impacting both on the path and the adjoining rail line.  Network Rail have had to invest heavily to stabilise the banks here and recreate a safe route.

Now it can once again be enjoyed by both walkers on the Yorkshire Wolds Way and cyclists on the Trans Pennine Trail.
