The Bull is a stylishly-converted pub at the heart of Ditchling village, voted best pub at 'The Great British Pub Awards' 2016. Located inside the South Downs National Park, yet only 15 minutes from Brighton and the sea. This 450 year old grade listed inn has been sympathetically restored with open fires, cosy corners, bare floorboards, scrubbed tables and candlelight. With a choice of three bars and dining areas, luxurious bedrooms and a huge garden you will not be disappointed.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff will find you a table or guide you to the bar if thats your preference. Here they keep 4 cask ales, including Bedlam from their very own brewery along with 8 independent craft beers and over 20 wines by the glass. Sussex farms and estates provide the kitchen brigade with fresh local produce, along with ingredients grown in the pubs own kitchen garden. The kitchen serves lunch and supper and the creative British menus change daily.
Upstairs the bedrooms are renovated to the highest standard, furnished in luxurious fabrics and wall coverings from designers such as Andrew Martin, Cole & Son and Farrow & Ball. They have then been finished with a blend of one off pieces and bespoke handmade items. All of the rooms have been completely refurnished with firm beds, covered in fresh Egyptian cotton linens; White Goose downs duvets and plump pillows. Enjoy large flat screen TVs, DVD players, DVD library, Docking stations, free Wi-Fi, tea and coffee making facilities, along with free cookies from the kitchen. The contemporary Bathrooms have oversized showers, complemented by thick fluffy robes and organic handmade bath products. Larger rooms also have 6ft wide beds, sofas and coffee tables, along with bigger screen TVs and wireless sound systems, mini bars and that little extra space to relax. All the rooms are priced to include a lovely breakfast. Travel cots are also available upon request for no extra charge. On weekends there is a minimum two night stay. Check in is from 3pm, check out is at 10am Monday-Friday, and 11am at weekends.
