Grey Vine is a newly renovated 2 bedroom holiday home in the beautiful coastal village of Filey on the glorious North Yorkshire Coast. It is located on one of Filey's oldest streets with the sea visible from right outside the front door. It is in a quiet area yet close to all the amenities of Filey including the beach, cafes, restaurants, pubs, shops, bus stops and train station. Everything you could need on your door step! Grey Vine is well equipped for a comfortable break away by the coast. There is an open plan living, kitchen and dining area on the ground floor. There is a 55 inch smart TV mounted on the wall and a 3 seater sofa and armchair to sit back and relax on. For colder times there is a log effect gas fire for curling up cosy. There is superfast broadband with good signal throughout the property. Bi-fold doors open out onto an enclosed patio area with a table and chairs to enjoy the afternoon sun out there. The kitchen has a ranged of fitted appliances including fridge, freezer, gas hob, electric cooker, dishwasher, washing machine/tumble dryer and microwave. There are a range of utensils, pots and pans, slow cooker. Also on the ground floor is a cloakroom. Upstairs there is a master bedroom with a kingsize bed, ensuite with a shower and 40 inch smart TV mounted on the wall. There is a dressing table and wardrobe with drawers. The twin room has 2 single beds, an ensuite with a shower and 32 inch smart TV mounted on the wall.

Old Toads Barn is a detached, former farm building lovingly converted by the owners who live on site. Just a short drive north of the traditional seaside resort of Mablethorpe and less than half an hour’s drive from the Georgian market town of Louth with its boutique shops, pubs and restaurants. There are good walks and cycle routes in the area with only a 30-minute walk cross country to Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve. There is so much for everyone to see and do throughout the area.

Badgers Willow has been built to mirror the owners’ barn conversion, Old Toads Barn, and has its own private hot tub. It is located in the picturesque county of Lincolnshire, in Theddlethorpe, just a 30-minute walk cross country to Saltfleetby-Theddlethorpe Dunes National Nature Reserve (Crook Bank), a 5-minute drive from seaside resort of Mablethorpe (or 45 minutes’ walk cross country) and a 20-minute drive from the beautiful town of Louth. Please note that mablethorpe is a traditional seaside town, and therefore, the amusements and some shops shut in the winter months. With Badgers Willow being in the country and yet so close to the seaside, as well as having a 6-person hot tub and so many wonderful walks, it’s ideal for families, couples or as a catch-up retreat with friends. Lighthouse Keeper’s Cottage 2 is a cosy seafront house at end of the iconic red and white, Souter Lighthouse. It was built in 1871 to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel, and this two-bedroom cottage would have housed the former keeper and his family. This peaceful property boasts stunning sea views. From your base at Souter, head north to The Leas, a two and a half miles stretch of magnesian limestone cliffs, wave-cut foreshore and coastal grassland to explore. Further afield, why not explore one of our nearby properties? Washington Old Hall is a 12 mile drive, Gibside 23 miles, and Cragside 40 miles from the cottage.  

This white-washed cottage stands at the landward end of the Souter Lighthouse, built in 1871 to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel. The lighthouse keeper and his family would have lived in this sea-view cottage which, after a careful restoration, has been transformed into a comfortable two-bedroom holiday home. Enjoy a cup of tea in the garden and soak up the sweeping views. Stretching north from Souter Lighthouse is The Leas, a two and a half mile expanse of magnesian limestone cliffs, wave-cut foreshores and coastal grassland. Start a 2 mile walk from Souter Lighthouse and end at Rocket Green meadow; home to autumn gentian, bee orchid and dropwort. Further afield, explore the vibrant city of Newcastle, just a 15 mile drive from the cottage. With its shops, museums, galleries and award-winning restaurants, it’s well worth a visit. Stowaway is a self contained, self catering, home from home cabin, set in a tranquil garden and over looking fields. Within walking distance of Runswick Bay beach and on a bus route to Whitby, Sandsend and Saltburn. Sleeps 2 adults and 1 well behaved dog (Labrador or smaller). A baby sleeping in a cot and not on the move is welcome. Cot / high chair provided on request. There are 2 pubs, a cafe and tearoom in the village. There are many walks locally including the Cleveland Way.

Staithes is located right on the Cleveland Way and the village provides an ideal base to explore the coastlinewalks both north and south. It is also an easy drive in to the North York Moors National Park where you can explore other sections of the Cleveland Way and Dalby Forest both on foot and by bike. Stay in Staithes is a local agency promoting a small range of holiday cottages range from cosy, get away from it all retreats for singles/couples through to larger houses suitable for larger families and groups of up to 8 people. All are located in the heart of the old village within a short walk of the harbour front and local pubs/shops, so multiple properties can be booked if you are looking to accommodate an extended group.

This white-washed cottage stands at the landward end of the Souter Lighthouse, built in 1871 to ward ships from the dangerous rocks at Whitburn Steel. The lighthouse keeper and his family would have lived in this sea-view cottage which, after a careful restoration, has been transformed into a comfortable two-bedroom holiday home. Enjoy a cup of tea in the garden and soak up the sweeping views. Stretching north from Souter Lighthouse is The Leas, a two and a half mile expanse of magnesian limestone cliffs, wave-cut foreshores and coastal grassland. Start a 2 mile walk from Souter Lighthouse and end at Rocket Green meadow; home to autumn gentian, bee orchid and dropwort. Further afield, explore the vibrant city of Newcastle, just a 15 mile drive from the cottage. With its shops, museums, galleries and award-winning restaurants, it’s well worth a visit.
