The Wayside and Whisky Barn is situated in an idyllic, secluded location on the South West coast of the Lake District National Park. Situated at the base of Black Combe, 3 miles from Silecroft beach, and 25 min walk from the quiet Gutterby beach, it is an ideal location to explore both the coast line and the fells . It has free parking, a well stocked bar including numerous whiskys and a restaurant serving home-cooked food (booking in advance essential).
Dating back to 1637, it's building is full of characters with original features, yet it provides modern comfort; we have underfloor heating and slate floors downstairs and our ultra-fast Wifi ensures you can catch up with your loved one home during your stay. The atmosphere is relaxed as is the dress code. If you want a chilled out place to stay, this is the place to be - with home cooked food and good wines, local ales as well as an extensive range of whiskies to sample and buy.
