Kent Coast Path: Dungeness to Littlestone
Begin at The Old Lighthouse, an historic Grade II listed building open to the public and offering panoramic views across the shingle, the surrounding countryside and the English Channel.
Begin this walk at The Lighthouse in Dungeness, then explore further and discover more of what this Kentish wild desert has to offer.
Dungeness National Nature Reserve is home to bird species including bittern, little ringed plover and Slavonian grebe to name a few. It is home to 600 species of plant, a third of all plants found in the UK which you have the opportunity to discover. The nature reserve stretches across Dungeness to encompass the vast RSPB reserve and is intended to help protect the landscape and its wildlife. It’s a must-visit while you venture on this wonderful coastal walk.
Further along the route, why not visit Greatstone Beach, a wonderful sandy beach, frequently washed by the tide of the English Channel.
