I began the Offa's Dyke Path on Monday June 6th to raise money for Mind the Mental Health Charity. I left Prestatyn and on the 22nd of June I crawled on hands and knees into Chepstow. I was very impressed with the Offa's Dyke Centre in Knighton and the lady working there was very helpful in getting me accomodation for the night. I have to say that I got lost a number of times, due to tiredness and not understanding the exact direction of the signage across fields. The parts that took us along dangerous main roads need looking at. I had a few hairy moments with speeding cars but I'm sure it is a logistical nightmare to maintain but the National Assembly of Wales should fund the jobs of Trail Officers for North & South Wales as I'm sure that it is impossible to maintain adequately by one person. A thanks and tribute to the farmers who allowed me to walk across their fields and I noticed that there were spoilt crops to enable the safe passage of walkers.
