The Thames Path is currently closed just upstream of Swinford Bridge because a stepped footbridge is not safe to use. The diversion route between Eynsham Lock and Pinkhill Lock is on public rights of way - see map on the link below. There is no safe footway on the B4044, which is a very busy main road. There is no route across private land near the bridge.
Oxfordshire County Council will prioritise the repairs to reduce the inconvenience this will cause.
Please note that there is no way through private property near the closed bridge. Please use the diversion route.
