Widdop Reservoir

In spring 2017 Google loaned one of its backpack-mounted ‘Trekker’ cameras to the rangers who look after the Pennine Bridleway, of which the Mary Towneley Loop forms a key part. Able volunteers carried the 15-lens, 25kg camera around the 47 mile loop, capturing 360 degree images as they went. These images have been stitched together and launched online to create the iconic ‘Street View’ footage that people are used to seeing for roads. You can now check out the terrain along every inch of the Mary Towneley Loop before setting out! Take a look at some of the highlights of the Mary Towneley Loop.
