Fresh Beach CottageCastlemartin, Pembroke SA71 5HL, UK, Tel: 07806621101
The cottage is situated in an idyllic part of West Wales, which is very close to one of Wales premier surf beaches. Built in 1890 as an Almshouse, with its thick stone walls, and wooden beams the property lends itself well, to a more traditional style of interior design. On entering you are immediately greeted by an open plan arrangement, which makes use of the large bay window and south facing aspect, to create a pleasant ambience of calmness and tranquillity. A fully equipped kitchen and large comfortable lounge with its charming fireplace and log burner, provides the perfect setting to dine on that freshly caught mackerel. Two large bedrooms with double beds and an adjoining smaller child’s bedroom with bunk beds, means that up to four adults and two children can be easily accommodated at any one time. The yard at the rear catches the morning sun and provides a nice place to enjoy your breakfast whilst planning the day’s activities. The white washed boundary wall can be used as a novel alternative to a guest book, so please feel free to sign your name, draw a picture or describe a memorable moment of your holiday. There is ample room for parking to the front of the property and a grassed area for the children/dogs to play. Just the other side of the hedge boundary is a play park with swings and slides for extra playtimes.

CastlemeadManorbier, Tenby SA70 7TA, UK, Tel: 01834871358
Castlemead is probably one of the most superbly situated small Hotels in West Wales. Nestling at the head of a small wooded valley, Castlemead is set in 1/2 acre of mature grounds & lawns with extensive views across Manorbier Bay, the Norman Church and Castle. Here we offer a gloriously quiet, relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the village yet just a "stones throw" from the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park and a short stroll to our Blue Flag Beach. Formerly a Gentlemans residence, now a 4 star restaurant with 9 pleasant guest bedrooms, with different views, sizes & costs, all provide the expected comfortable facilities. Castlemead is an ideal base for those walking the coastal path. We are dog friendly and have storage areas for kayaks, canoes or surf boards. ***** awarded 4 stars by the AA and Visit Wales, Castlemead offers a daily changing menu using local seasonal produce whenever possible. Holders of the Pembrokeshire Produce Marquee all our fresh fish comes from Milford Haven Port & meat from the Prescelis. All diets are carefully catered for, prior knowledge of requirements is always helpful. Little ones, with early suppers, often outside on the lawn offering a small healthy eating choice of meals are always popular. The ambience of the restaurant changes with the seasons, in the summer months alfresco dining or drinks on the lawn whilst perusing the menu, in chillier times before a roaring fire or tucked in the cosy bar, it is a place for all seasons. awarded 5 stars by Pembrokeshire Council for food handling processes & safety 6 years in a row. ***** An elegant lounge with a working victorian fireplace and snug sun room with glorious views are the ideal place to relax and unwind. The cosy bar adjoins the restaurant, admire the miscellania, make friends, chat and have a drink. Wifi access is available in this area ***** With views to die for! Rolling lawns with views straight across Manorbier Bay to the sandy beach of Barafundle/ Flanked on the left by an imposing Norman church. On the right the fabulous Manorbier Castle, the view ever changing and always stunning. Guests have exclusive use of the garden during daytime, and during the evenings in the summer months we serve dinner outside, weather permitting ***** We have 9 guest bedrooms, all ensuite with telephones, courtesy trays and flat screen TVs. Due to the history of the building they vary greatly in aspect and size. Sea view rooms are always at a premium, and tend to be larger and get booked earlier. This is reflected in the tariffs we charge. We endeavour always to ensure that those guests whom do not benefit from a sea view in their room have a prime seat in the restaurant to soak up the view. Family rooms are available and the coach house rooms with their own front door are ideal for guests whom wish to bring their dogs, or those whom find stairs difficult.

We think that you'll struggle to find a better Pembrokeshire location than St Florence. It's in the country yet just minutes from the popular south coast resort of Tenby and also handy for all points west and north – in fact the entire Pembrokeshire Coast National Park. Choose to stay at Jordanston Holiday Cottages and you have the added bonus of farmer's wife Debra Hughes's local knowledge. 'Debra is a font of knowledge on where to go and what to do in the local area,' is one of the glowing reviews on TripAdvisor. Guests also appreciate the way in which she has furnished and fitted out her four top-rated cottages. Families and larger groups might go for Pleasant Valley and Tregoyr (both sleeping eight) while Yr Hen Efail and the cheekily named Just a Cottage sleep six and four respectively. All are bursting with character inside. Yr Hen Efail, the old village blacksmith's shop, dates back to the 18th century. With its spacious, open plan living area, modern kitchen and patio its previous occupant wouldn't recognise the place. Or, for that matter, his old house, Tregoyr, though the original wooden and tiled floors, exposed beams and wood panelling are still there. Pleasant Valley is a light, secluded bungalow offering spacious, flexible accommodation while Just a Cottage, next to Debra's farmhouse, is smart and well appointed (and comes complete with hot tub)."Your holiday time is precious and your comfort is our first priority. We offer a personal and discreet sevice, managing all four cottages ourselves." - Debra Hughes.Choose from three five star cottages, and one four star cottage, each with unique features and bursting with character. Accommodation with personal touches and carefully chosen furnishings all add up to a relaxing and reviving holiday, in St Florence near Tenby. Pembrokeshire is an exhilarating county, with outstanding scenery and wildlife to explore, and enjoy whilst walking along the famous Pembrokeshire Coastal Path. Award winning blue flag beaches, plenty of historic castles, and adventure parks. Come and explore Pembrokeshire and then return to a warm comfortable cottage. Come and try it.

Springfield Farm & Wild CampingSpringfield Farm, Walton West, Little Haven, Haverfordwest, Pembrokeshire, SA62 3UA, Tel: 07957 313 750
Springfield Farm is an 87 acre family farm, situated in the picturesque hamlet of Walton West. We are the fourth generation of our family to farm here, in a traditional mixed farming system. Alongside this, we also run a small market garden and sell produce direct from our farm gate stall, with honesty box.
We are located just 10 minutes walk from the beaches and coastal path at Broad Haven and Little Haven, in the heart of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park.
Our aim is to offer a traditional farm camping stay, for those who love the outdoors and long to simply 'Pitch up' in a field away from crowded campsites. This is back to basics camping, but we feel all the better for it.
The farm itself is a wildlife haven, with large hedges and wide, wild field margins edged by a stream that borders 2 sides of the farm.
Pitches can be chosen on arrival, and you have the option of camping anywhere on the farm which is accessible. You will have the choice of a sheltered corner of a field through to panoramic sea views. We will always maintain a few pitches which will be easily accessible, but should you wish to truly 'wild camp' you are welcome to select a spot which appeals to you, as long as no livestock is in the field.
- 2 taps are available in one of the fields for washing and drinking water. Please be prepared to carry your water if you choose a remote location to camp.
- We have 2 off-grid compost toilets for our campers, there is a tap close by.
On our doorstep:
- For walkers - Easy access to the Pembrokeshire coastal path
- Watersport activites - Surf board, kayak, paddle board and wet suit hire in Broad Haven
- For nature lovers and birdwatchers there are a variety of habitats on the farm - nesting birds, birds of prey including Barn & Tawney owls and bats which can be seen hunting at dusk and dawn, a diverse range of insect life, wild flowers and plants amongst our ancient hedgerows.
- Short distance to boat trips for the islands of Skomer, Skokholm,Grassholm & Ramsey where nesting sea birds can be observed such as Puffin, Manx Shearwater, Guillimot, Razorbill and Storm Petrel.
What else we offer:
- Farm gate stall selling seasonal vegetables, free range eggs and honey subject to availability.
- Veg boxes/eggs available to order on arrival in the summer and autumn.
- Fresh lobster and crab available to order, cooked or live, through our neighbours Lobster and Môr.
Bee Keeping Experience:
If you have an interest in finding out more about keeping bees and would like to visit a hive to see how it is done and meet the bees, we can offer an informal introduction to bee keeping during your stay.
This can be individually or in a small group. All equipment is provided, including bee keeping suits and gloves. You will be given the opportunity to look inside a hive, hold a frame of bees and if you can, find the queen! You will be shown how the hive functions, introduced to the bees and given an opportunity to ask any questions you may have.
The experience will take approximately 1-2 hours, but is flexible depending on the size of the group and the number of questions. Ask about prices when you book or during your stay.
