The challenge was to complete the 285Km of Offa's Dyke in as close to 5 days as possible from Sedbury to Prestatyn, to raise money for a smal UK charity - "Supporting Wounded Veterans". The challenge was completed at midday on 12th July having started at 0600 hours on Friday 07th July, taking 5.5 days in total. The weather for the first 3 days was incredible 26 - 28 degrees and blazing sunshine, forcing me to drink 10L of water every day. The 4th day, torrential rain for almost 16 hours then the last day normal dry overcast hill weather. A great experience, however it is incredibly hilly folks!The charity supports wounded veterans with life changing injuries back into employment and through my endeavours plus the generosity of other I have raised circa £2,400 for the charity. A great experience.
