A truly stunning walk from 'bottom' to 'top'. With all but the last 2 walks undertaken through daytrips across an 18 month period (including sections in deep snow), this walk never ceased to be brilliant at all times. Waymarked with precision throughout and covering beautiful countryside the walk was both challenging (some of the hills have been more than steep!), as well as breathtaking (some sections of the Dyke are remarkable). The guide book is a must for planning but not really needed for the walk itself (although OS maps and the guidebook help with the context and wider surrounds). Undertaken in 10-15 mile sections (depending upon parking at either end), and planned for a rewarding (late) pub lunch afterwards, this has been the best of the many Long Distance Path walks we have covered. We've even talked next about walking back, just to get the views in reverse!
