Offa's Dyke was my first long distance trail at the age of 65 having only started walking in 2014. While a challenge at times such as the strech from Knighton to Cwm it delivered a great sense of achievement. The sections along the canals were a pleasure to walk reflecting the contrasts along the way. Never busy the trail provides plenty of solitude for a solo walker such as myself to enjoy the ever changing scenery and the views into the far distance such as looking back on the Black Mountains above Red Darren where you can still see the Bristol Channel. Very well waymarked throughout with lots of first rate accommodation available. Met a lot of very helpful and very pleasant people along the way. Only question now is where to walk next?
