Opened in 2019, Carrshield Camping Barn has been sympathetically converted from an 18th century mine shop (a scheduled ancient monument). Nestling in the Allen Valley it is surrounded by the impressive fells and valleys of the North Pennines AONB, known as England's last wilderness. Situated on the first floor, the camping barns accommodates up to 18 across 3 rooms, each with a wood-burning stove and a raised wooden sleeping platform.
