Due to a significant landslip a section of the Cotswold Way near North Nibley has been diverted.
The path leading up the steep slope to the north of the Tyndale Monument at Nibley Knoll (between Dursley and Wotton-under-Edge) suffered extensive damage in early 2013, and a further landslip towards the end of November of the same year led to the diverted route up Wood Lane also being closed and a secondary diversion being signed.
The originally diverted route has now been made safe and has been signed as the official route of the Cotswold Way. It is highly likely that this route will become the permanent, definitive route of the Trail, but for the time being remains listed here as a diversion.
The new route is easy to follow, but download the map below for further reassurance if required.
