These woodland nature reserves lie on the steep scarp facing Dancersend nature reserve, where a combination of mature beech woodland and more recently planted woodland make an interesting area to explore and spot birds such as chiffchaffs. Pavis Woods are also of archaelogical interest, with ancient sunken tracks and borrow pits, flint pits and sand pits showing that humans have worked on the site in the past.
The reserve is open all year round and can be accessed via the Dancersend nature reserve, where parking is available.
