This iron-age hill fort is thought to have been a reasonably large settlement and communal centre for various activities including sheep management and exchange. Today, it is still possible to see the extensive ditch, ramparts and four gateways. The fort is a short walk from the Ridgeway National Trail, and can be visited as part of the Devil's Punchbowl and Segsbury Camp Circular walk - see http://www.nationaltrail.co.uk/sites/default/files/devils_punchbowl_segsbury_camp_circular_walk.pdf.
