Situated in the heart of the South Downs National Park on the banks of one of Hampshire’s finest chalk streams, the fisherman’s cabin is the ideal place to relax and unwind in the company of some spectacular wildlife. The locals are herons, swans and egrits and if you’re really lucky, you will see the blue and orange flash of a kingfisher.
The cabin sits on the banks of the Meon and with 280 meters of riverbank, offers some of the best wild brown trout fishing in the valley with the season running from 1st April to 31st October.
The cabin itself sleeps two (single beds) and has the necessary facilities – fridge, cooker, kettle and heater and a shower and WC in the adjacent hut.
There are also plenty of other things to do in the area, a trail of pubs lie along the river and the disused Meon Valley Railway line is a 500 meters from the cabin for walking, running and cycling. There are also two vineyards within close by, one of which is within walking distance.
