This lovely period holiday cottage was built about 120 years ago and offers real character and charm with stripped wooden floors and a mixture of Victorian and interesting 50s furniture.
The cottage is on three floors with a relaxing double bedroom, painted in pale hues, with a Victorian wrought iron bed, painted furniture and a romantic feel. The cottage would make an ideal base for your holiday or short break stay. Little stairs wind up to the top room which has been made into a delightful sitting room complete with TV and two cute chairs, it feels like a little hideaway from the rest of the world!
Downstairs the cosy sitting room of this self-catering cottage has an Ercol settee beside the working fireplace, ideal for a relaxing evening after a busy day exploring the countryside or enjoying the entertainment in Lewes. All logs are provided by the owner - there is nothing like a cosy fire perfect for winter breaks. Added to this the patio garden provides a lovely area for al fresco meals on a summer's evening. Such a treat to be in the centre of a town but down a quiet little alleyway. If you forget one ingredient whilst cooking supper, it is easy to pop out and you will be back with the goods in 5 minutes!
All in all, this cottage has all the benefits of exploring this wonderful town on foot and if you have time there is fabulous walking on the South Downs minutes from Green Wall Cottage. Ideal for those without a car as the station is within easy reach.
