One of the deepest Peak potholes, Eldon Hole, lies close by, as does the actors Donkey Sanctuary supported by many thespians. Nearby, the historical village of Eyam, made famous by the outbreak of the plague, is home to a museum on local history and the plague inparticular. Castleton is 4 miles, whilst the Chestnut Centre, famous for its otters and deer, Bakewell, Chatsworth House, Buxton and Matlock Bath are within easy reach. Shop 4 miles, pub less than 1 mile.
