Swallows Rest is situated on the beautiful Jurassic Coast in Dorset and offers luxurious farmhouse accommodation with fabulous views of Chesil Beach, the Fleet Lagoon and Chesil Beach. We have 34 acres of land of special scientific interest, a designated Nature Reserve with a footpath leading down to the sea. We're passionate about cooking and use our own free range eggs and bacon and sausages from local butchers for breakfast along with home made granola, jams and marmalade. We have 4 B&B rooms, a 3 bed Holiday Home, a 3 bed Penthouse Suite and a self-catering 2 bed Bungalow with disabled access.
In our gardens we have a lake with various breeds of ducks, free range rare breed chicken and beautiful bantams wandering freely with George and Mildred our pet pigs. On the farm we have alpacas, sheep, horses and our miniature Shetland ponies Coco & Charlie.
Martleaves Campsite at Swallows Rest is open 365 days a year with hard standing and grass pitches. We're also a Wedding Venue licenced for civil ceremonies in our Summer House and Farm House, with spectacular views of Chesil Beach from the marquee. We have accommodation for up to 28 guests at Swallows Rest including three ground floor bedrooms with king size beds.
We're on the South West Coastal Path, ideally situated for walkers, climbers, sailors and lovers of all water sports. The National Sailing Academy, Portland and Weymouth are all within 2 miles of the farm. It's possible to walk into Weymouth and Portland in less than an hour, and buses run frequently from stops nearby. In the village of Wyke Regis, a five minute walk from the farm, we have the fabulous Wyke Smugglers Pub serving gourmet food, the excellent Khazana Indian Restaurant, the Award Winning Daniels Fish & Chip takeaway and the famous Crab House Cafe.
