Take a break and travel by bus from Machynlleth to the Corris Craft Centre. Regular buses X27 and T2 stop right outside and route 34 stops in the village of Corris (a 10 minute walk away). At the Corris Craft Centre you'll find lots of opportunites for hands-on fun with pottery painting, candle dipping, chocolate making, herbal crafting and furniture building. There are 9 individual craft studios where, on most days, you can see many of the designer-makers at work. Items handmade at the centre include traditional and personalised wooden toys, celtic inspired jewellery, pottery including the famous smoking dragons, chocolates, truffles and fudge, handcarved candles, glass sculptures, natural forest furniture, herbal lotions and remedies and award winning artisan gin.
The Y Crochan cafe is right next to the craft studios where you'll find a delicous all-day menu created with fresh, seasonal and local produce. Corris Craft Centre is also the starting point for the King Arthur's Labyrinth underground adventure and Corris Mine Explorers.
