A half-mile walk from Dunster Beach will take you to the medieval village which once had a harbour before the coast receded. This gem of a village which earned its wealth from wool has no fewer than 200 listed buildings. It has a river, packhorse bridge, ancient tower, priory, yarn market, watermill and a castle with its own underground reservoir.
