The castle was built in the C17th as a hunting lodge to entertain aristocracy and royalty. Ravaged by fire in 1929, it has been partly restored.
Climb the tower for spectacular panoramic views of the Purbeck countryside and towards the Jurassic Coast. Visit the C18th Roman Catholic Chapel and the C15th Church of St Andrew.
With extensive parkland, woodland walks, a children’s playground, the spacious grounds are yours to enjoy, walk the dog (please keep dogs on leads), bring a picnic or enjoy a cream tea in the Castle Tearoom. We also host a number of events throughout the year, which might tie in with your walking visit to Lulworth! Check our website for details.
Pay & Display parking gives access to the park and grounds, with a separate admission charge for the Castle (children under 4 free). Check our website for opening times & details.
