Prinknash Abbey is a Roman Catholic monastic community of men, who live in the spirit of the Rule of Saint Benedict.

The community belongs to the English Province of the Subiaco Cassinese Benedictine Congregation, which is itself part of the worldwide Benedictine Confederation.

Entrance to our Estate is ENTIRELY FREE

Come and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of the Prinknash Monastery Shop & Cafe and sample our local, homemade cakes and refreshments. We also sell a wide range of monastic gifts, Christian books and cards. Baptism, First Holy Communion, Confirmation gifts and devotional items are also available. We are closed on Christmas Day, Boxing Day and Good Friday but open 10am to 5pm all other days.

Staying in the monastery (Men) - Benedictine monasteries have been welcoming guests for hundreds of years and we are pleased to continue that tradition. Indeed, it is integral to our way of life. We have a very small number of rooms for men only. If you would like to stay with us, to share in a time of prayer and quiet reflection then please contact the Guest Master (fathermarkhargreaves@gmail.com), who would be happy to provide further details.

The nearby Prinknash Bird and Deer Park has no connection with the Monastic Community
