In celebration of National Nature Reserves Week 2024, Natural England (Wyre Forest NNR Team) are holding a series of guided walks in the Wyre Forest to look at the wildlife and talk about some of our management practices.

This event will be hosted by local moth and butterfly specialists Mike Williams and Mike Southall, Butterfly Conservation (West Midlands), to open the moth traps, see what's inside and record the findings. After that, they will guide us on a walk along the railway line to look for butterflies and day-flying moths; especially the Wyre Forest specialities - the Pearl-bordered fritillary and the small Pearl-bordered fritillary.

*All are welcome and the cost is free; booking is essential. Please note due to the limited numbers we have set a limit of two tickets per booking.

If you have any questions or queries please get in touch by sending an email to wyreforest.nnr@naturalengland.org.uk
