The Offa's Dyke Path is an enthralling and in places, challenging walk.It consists of wonderfully varied landscapes and enviroments and has something to please everyone from wild ponies grazing on the moor, to aquaducts and industrial archaeology, to strenuous climbs leading to heather and bilberry-clad uplands.A couple of thoughts that might be helpful:There is a great variety of wildlife to see and a book or app that helps with identification is useful.Take as long as you can afford to complete the trail. We took 16 days (including 2 much needed rest days) but missed out on diverting to explore places of interest on or near the route.If you are camping and relying on a pub meal at night...Check the local opening days and times, it sounds obvious but we got caught out.If self-catering there are long stretches where there are no shops or cafes!
