A proper pub serving you good local real ales, pub grub, in a friendly warm environment. Not only that, you look out towards Pen-y-Ghent, one of the Yorkshire 3 Peaks, are right at the side of the river Ribble and if you time it right you might see a steam train passing by on its journey from Settle to Carlisle.Helwith Bridge Inn Fire
The building of the Helwith Bridge Inn dates back to the 1820s when it was built as a canteen for the local quarry workers. It has been a public house since the 1870s when the adjacent railway line was built.
Helwith Bridge is situated in Ribblesdale and is within the Yorkshire Dales National Park. It is also a designated area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
Everyone is welcome to the Helwith Bridge including wet and muddy dogs. You will find yourself in the company of walkers, climbers, cavers, and cyclists amongst others, as well as the locals of Helwith Bridge and Horton in Ribblesdale.
We do not try to be posh though if you want to get dressed up then you can. We are independently owned and a little rough around the edges, so if you like chain pubs and restaurants serving 2 for 1, with cheap lager and Sky TV then you might be a little disappointed.
Helwith Bridge Inn BarWe pride ourselves on the quality and choice of our real ales, many from local breweries. You will usually be able to sample the Helwith Bridge Bitter and Ingleborough Gold both brewed by the 3 Peaks Brewery based in Settle.
We do not serve posh nosh but good portions of pub grub to help fill you up after a day on the fells, underground in the many local caves or any of the other many outdoor activities you can enjoy in Ribblesdale. Click here to see our main menu.
You can have a game of pool or darts or grab your self some cards or dominoes and if you must we do have a TV. You will pleased to know however that it is not in the bar area.
